Partner
As a partner in the firm since
1970, Michael Daley has provided legal representation to a variety
of clients, including unions, pension and welfare funds, and
businesses of all sizes.
Michael Daley counsels union
officers, trustees and fund administrators on the operation of labor
organizations, pension funds, welfare funds, apprentice programs,
and arbitration boards. He provides legal advice on issues
such as union elections, picketing, contract administration,
contract termination, union organizing campaigns, unfair labor
practices and drug testing policies. In representing employee
benefit funds, he advises trustees on their fiduciary
responsibilities and the interpretation and administration of the
plans, as well as ERISA and regulatory compliance issues.
He also advises business entities
on a variety of issues, including business formation, board
management and governance, corporate liquidations and dissolutions
and the negotiation of financial transactions and contracts.
His practice also includes the representation of clients in the
preparation of estate plans and estate administration.
Michael Daley has served, by
appointment by the Illinois Supreme Court, as Board member and
Treasurer of the Illinois Lawyers Trust Fund. He has also
served as Director of the Sauganash Community Board, as a Director
of The Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago, as President
of the Mid-Day Club of Chicago, and on the boards of the Wendy Will
Case Cancer Fund and Misericordia.
